Do You Agree to Build a Large Factory near Your Community?

The recent announcement that a company wishes to build a large factory near our community arouses different reactions from the residents.
Building such a factory will bring some benefits to the community. The most obvious advantage will be the increase in jobs. An equally welcome benefit will be the money that those new employees will spend for goods and services in our shops and stores. Further, the products the company manufactures will improve our lives.
However, there are some disadvantages in siting the factory here. During its construction there will be a lot of noise and inconvenience to nearby residents. The new plant will produce waste products and poilutams which may harm the environment and threaten our health.
After weighing the advantages and disadvantages, I support the decision to set up the factory here. I believe if we realize the disadvantages before the construction begins, we can take action to minimize them.
